PICTURE SHEET (MAIN) MASKING, MOTORIZED

121.  This Contractor shall furnish and install magnascope frame for a three (3) position picture size.  Size of picture to be electrically controlled automatically by push buttons.

122. The frame shall be built of steel and the overall size of the frame shall be for the full width of the stage setting and approximately forty (40'0") feet high and the inside frame shall be as directed.  The frame shall be made of one and three-quarter inch by one and three-quarter inch by three-sixteenth inch (1-3/4" x 1-3/4" x 3/16") angles with diagonal members to from a truss not less than three (3'0") feet across the entire top of the frame and one (1'0") foot deep on the bottom and one foot six inches (1'6") wide at the sides of the inner frame.  The frame to have bronze sleeve cables guides at sides for one-quarter (1/4") inch seven-strand guide wire which shall be kept taut by one-half (1/2") turnbuckles.

124. All around the inner frame there shall be one-quarter (1/4") inch drop forged hooks about six (6") inches on centers to receive lacings of sheet.

125. For the magnascope effect there shall be two (2) three-position machines mounted on the frame - one for the vertical masking and the other for the two (2) side maskings.

126. This Contractor shall provide the battens and necessary rigging for the vertical masking, the draw tracks, the edging frames and necessary endless line rigging for the side maskings and the edge frames for the bottom masking.

127. This Contractor shall also furnish and install the black velour maskings required to cover the entire frame.

128. This Contractor shall furnish motors, push button stations but all other electrical equipment required for this installation shall be by OTHERS.

129. The picture sheet shall be furnished and installed by OTHERS.


130. The entire magnascope frame shall be hung from one of the ten electric counterweight sets previously specified.  This Contractor shall furnish sufficient grey iron counterweights to equally balance the entire installations.
