120. This Contractor shall furnish and install the
necessary battens for hanging and flying the material cyclorama. The material cyclorama itself shall be by
OTHERS. The batten shall have a curved
member that follows the outline of the revolving stage. The curved batten shall be attached to
straight rear batten by braces and diagonals to form a truss and the entire
system of battens shall be hung from the rear batten which shall be raised and
lowered by a manually operated counterweight set of rigging consisting of eight
(8) twelve (12") inch machine turned ball bearing loft blocks and one (1)
sixteen (16") inch machine turned ball bearing head block with separate
grooves for cables and operating line, five-sixteenth (5/16") inch steel
cables attached to rear batten with several clamps and to the counterweight
frame by one-half (1/2") inch turnbuckles.
Counterweight frame to operate on track guides fastened to wall as
directed. There shall be a one (1")
inch manila operating line with rope lock and a twelve (12") inch machine
turned ball bearing floor block. This
Contractor shall furnish necessary counterweight to balance properly this set
and also the long chains so that the down stage edge of the cyclorama can be
raised into position.
