CONTOUR CURTAIN

94.  This Contractor shall furnish and install as hereinafter specified the necessary machinery of operating the contour curtain.  It shall consist of thirteen direct connected machines with a deep groove drum operated by a worm gear drive built into the frame of the motor.  The hoist machines shall be set on sound proof bases.  Each machine shall have a one-quarter (1/4") inch flexible steel cable so as to allow the free running of the cable and close packing on the drum.  The machines are to have a special indicator carried down to the proscenium wall to the stage to an indicator board which shall show the position of each line and give the form of the curtain.  Limit switches are to be installed on this indicator; they are to be adjustable to control the form of the curtain and so arranged that a form can be pre-set and this form continually used.  This is to allow the person operating the curtain to select the design of the curtain and operate same by master push button.  Each motor shall also be able to operate separately with its "Up", "Down", and "Stop" buttons.  There shall be thirteen (13) sets at the bottom of this control besides the master set.  This Contractor is to build the cabinet with its limit switches, push buttons, master control and set cabinet in place.  This Contractor is to furnish motors, control panels and indicator panels but all other electrical work is to be done by OTHERS.
